The listing, 1940 Sergio S. Barrero & Son (Importers) Cuba Cover has ended.
Hard to find from this Cuban based company. This was before everything from Cuba was banned from coming into the U.S. It is addressed to Sterling Engine Company of Buffalo, NY. Also interesting as it carries a 1933-1933 cancellation. Special "Received" cancel from Sterling Engine on reverse. Stamp celebrates the Lions Convention. The Sterling Engine Company was a dominant presence on Niagara Street, between Breckenridge and Auburn Avenu e for much of the 20th century. The company, which manufactured gas engines, constructed a factory building at 1252-1278 Niagara Street in 1907 (currently 1270 Niagara Street). Mailed correctly and shipped free.
