Is the green and black one just the wing or an actual butterfly?

I just ordered 100 canes but I love the wheels since they come perfectly cut. F&W =D

These didn't come already in the wheel. I have a ton of empty wheels and have thinly sliced all of them. :) I've seen some of the ones that are pre-sliced in the wheels though!

I'm sure you're a pro at slicing then though =D

I've sliced tons and tons lol. I tend to do it while watching shows/movies..lol.

That's exactly what I do!!! I can't imagine slicing them without another distraction. I use X-Acto blades without the handle. I'd love to find a slicer I could set to different widths for nail art as well as beads. It would make it much easier!

I don't use one for different widths, but I got a long blade at Michael's in the polymer clay section

I just wish I could get something Similar to a paper cutter. It would involve no effort but I haven't been able to find anything small, sharp or thin enough.

paper cutters won't work much, but if you check out Hobby Lobby/Michael's in the polymer clay section there is a long thin blade that is dull on top so you don't cut yourself and sharp on the other end that you can cut really thin even slices with! It's like around $5

I know a paper cutter wouldn't work but if I could find something in similar fashion to one or make one that would be great. I was hit by a car almost 2 years ago and have ruptured ulnar nerves so my arms aren't as useful as they used to be. I drop things all the time and my arms constantly feel like when you hit your funny bone. It takes me so long to slice Fimo that out of many different blades I have tried, shorter is much easier and less dangerous in my situation.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, I was in one a couple years ago as well, drunk driver hit me head on and really messed up my hips. I can be sitting down not doing anything and be in immense pain. So I know how it can be! Maybe you could get the longer blade and make your own type of cutter. Encase it in polymer clay somehow or wood to make an easier way to chop them up!! I know after a while, sitting there slicing your hand tends to hurt..lol

Ugh I hate idiot drivers. We are still working on settling my case. It was a hit and run but they found them luckily. I'm happy you are okay! I'll have to talk to my boo about helping me make something. He's quite handy. The biggest thing I miss about my arms working is playing stringed instruments well...any instruments in fact. I promises myself if my arms ever go back to normal I am buying my own drum set and it will be as big as The Great Neil Peart's drum kit =D

Haha, that would be awesome!! I'm sure you guys could come up with something!! Make it interesting and get creative, there's gotta be an easier way, always is a solution!

Hopefully we can come up with an awesome prototype and can make more to list.

And that slices perfectly just for nails!! I love the super thin slices, that I can just slide onto and them not pop too much off the nail. Also love the thin slices for Altered Art pieces I do.

They are so nice when sliced thin! You get so much more out of the cane when you get them paper thin =D

I have never heard of these. What are they made of? I am looking for unusual gifts for my very girly granddaughter for Christmas who also LOVES to do art work. Do you think this would be something that someone like her would be interested in?

They're made out of Fimo Clay. They're tiny, like super tiny. So I wouldn't recommend it if you're grand daughter is super young, they could get everywhere or eaten (although they are non toxic). I would say ages 10+ may enjoy these more. They originated for nail art. But I also use them on other crafts
