The listing, *** OVER 100 YEAR OLD UNFINISHED QUIT TOP *** has ended.

"Little Girl in the Bonnet"

According to my mother, my great grandmother used to do what was called "quilting" and this is a top piece she never was able to finish.
(it has been hidden in my mother's hall closet)

All the "bonnet" little girls are hand sewn on with embroidered accents.

In the pictures it is lying on the top of my full bed so it looks to me like it must have been for a twin bed.

This is absolutely a stunning piece.

Please look at the pictures carefully. There are a few places that have yellowed, but other then that this quilt top is in excellent condition.

Please ask me any questions you may have. I will be happy to answer them.

Happy bidding!

Just so you know, this could be worth four to five hundred dollars if sold for cash. FYI

Do you think the stitching will hold if I run it through the washer? My husband's mother's wool quilt fell apart! I have yet figured out a plan to tackle the restitching. My Singer is not equipped to puncture through thick wool so it HAS to be hand stitched and I don't have time, if you catch my drift. ;)

Oh yes! My mother still has one of my grandma's quilts she washes. She may wash it on delicate though. I will ask her if you like. Fanned you!

Is the entire quilt hand sewn or part on machine?

The squares are machine sewn, but all the little girls are hand sewn with the most perfect stitching I have ever seen. Great grandma had it going on in that aspect!
Fanned you back. :o)
