The listing, 1 Brand New Unused Homemade Covid19 mask has ended.
Up for auction or GIN is a brand new unused completely homemade cloth Covid 19 mask. The pattern is from the Arkansas Dept. of Health, and does not use scarce items such as elastic (which I can't get anyway, there is none). There is a metal adjustable nose wire for a better fit. It is three layers of cotton/polyester cloth that was purchased new for this purpose. There are no guarantees but it comes from a Covid-free, smoke-free home and a low Covid area. I decided to put this up for bid for people who might otherwise not have access to a homemade mask to do their grocery shopping in. I have 11 other masks about half way done if this continues to serve a purpose. Which I hope the C19Virus goes away, but if it doesn't, it's better to be safe.
Thank you for bidding!
PS. I did not expect the level of interest this item received last week. If you are in dire need I will arrange a private GIN on a sliding scale. Don't ask me what kind of sliding slide it will be, and how much of a slide, I haven't thought about it yet. I am on fixed income so I'd like to recoup my materials and shipping if possible, though I probably won't starve if not.
PSS. This is the last mask with the iron-on nametag in it. I got them at Hobby Lobby (for handmade quilts) and shortly thereafter HL closed their doors due to Covid19 until further notice. I used iron-on tag because I don't want to sew any tag onto the actual mask area because it causes small holes from the needle. But from now on you can write your name on the cloth protector tape across the nosepiece if you miss out on this particular mask.
PSSS. The mask is carefully made and should last through multiple cleanings (by hand). That's all. You can tell I've got cabin fever, I'm writing too much. Sorry!
