I don't have the rechargeable batteries and regular batteries don't have enough juice to power it up! I promise they work I'm good on my word you can ask Retta she is my aunt lol! I just used this camera beginning of summer my husband bought me a canon that I wanted! I actually have two of these cameras lol one I mine and one was my late moms
