Description
The listing, Dog Puzzle Toy Hide A Treat Brain Game Bone Shaped has ended.
This is a great game to play with your dog. The circles slide over small pockets that can hold treats as a reward for figuring out the puzzle. These brain games keep dogs from getting too bored and are hilarious to watch. Amazing how easily they figure this out. This one was only used once, we have another one we use more frequently so this is in new condition. This retails for about $20 and measures 12x8.1x1.1 inches.
I actually use the identical one for both of my dogs and they are different sizes. I have one large dog, a Labrador, and one small/medium dog, a Jack Russell/Pug mix. I think this would be appropriate for almost any dog, maybe not the very small toy type of dogs though.
I have one very similar (mine is just round, not bone shaped). I would think for a smaller dog, or a dog with a pointed muzzle, not like my shar pei or a dog that has a bigger nose. Holes are small and a larger muzzled dog has a hard time getting the treats out.
My sister has a pure bred pug and she uses one of these as well, she just pushes the discs with a paw, it's actually very cute. My dogs do push theirs with their nose though and I could see how that could be a challenge for a dog with a short snout.
I would think this would be too big to fit inside a bird cage, it's pretty large as you can see from the dimensions posted in the listing. I don't really have any experience with birds or bird toys, so I really couldn't say whether or not this would be a good item for them.
