Description

The listing, Brand New NIB Bath/Safety Bathroom Alert Grip Bar & Alarm Remote. Elderly Care. has ended.

Retails between $25-$38. Mine is in the box, which has never been opened, and the box is in good condition, inside the item comes sealed as well inside protective plastic.
The bathroom is the most dangerous room in the house! With the Bath Safety Grip Alert Bar, it does not have to be. This is made by Rose Health Care, L.L.C. which specializes in reputable medical and home care products to provide frail, disabled, or injured people with independence, dignity, privacy, and peace of mind. The bar has a one touch button to sound an alarm for family, neighbors, or caregivers, and a portable waterproof, detachable remote can be placed on the sink, behind the commode, or anywhere in the home to ensure safety wherever you or your loved one goes. It also can be worn around the neck, or placed in the pocket discreetly.
Grip Alert is Your One Touch Alert System & Suction Assist Bar. Use it for balance in the bath or shower, and for alerting a loved one if you need assistance, or if you are experiencing an emergency. Its suction attaches firmly to bathtub or tile surfaces, giving you a strong stable support grip. When you need assistance, simply touch the red Alert button to activate the alarm. The audible signal is loud enough for your loved ones to hear outside the bathroom. Then use the portable remote to ensure safety as you travel around your home and yard. It can also be carried on the included 17" neck lanyard for use as the ultimate portable alert. Water-resistant. Uses 3 AAA batteries (not included). Note - This unit is designed as a balancing assist, not for body weight. (but I have yanked on that sucker and it does not budge but for liability the box says not to apply complete body weight to it). The bathroom is the most dangerous room in the house, but now thanks to the Bath/Safety Grip Alert Alarm Balance bath Bar, it does not have to be.

Yeah, I gave one to my grandma. I bought 3 for 100 from a retailer, I gave one to grams, sold one on Ebay, and then the last one I figured Listia could have. It makes me feel safer that she can use the alarm to call for us, she has one for 911 but she would have to be half dead to be willing to use it, and at that point she could not. She is from the generation of "not wanting to be a bother", but she does not mind calling out to family for non emergency stuff with it also, like help in the bathroom. Then the bar that part really helps her when we are not there, she used to fear stepping out of the shower because she has a bad hip and arthritis in her hands, she worried about losing her hand grip and falling, now she holds onto that, much safer then a wet smooth slippery bar like old school bathrooms have.

:) Well I knew older people are not on the internet as a general rule, but their concerned loved ones are, and the bathroom really is a dangerous place, as people gets older they start noticing. Mt grandma has blood pressure issues, so sometimes she gets dizzy and loses her balance, she has a lot of anxiety about it now, 2 years ago one fall and her hip shattered. I am very glad to give this one away because there are a lot of people in need but medical supply stores charge way to much for this.

Thanks, I try to be because my older cousins are kinda mean to her and it breaks her heart cause she is such a sweet lady, so I try to make up for their absence and bad attitudes. My grandpa passed when I was 6 so I barely remember him, and never met the 2 on my moms side, so that's another reason I am so close with her.

Hopefully you never fall in the bathroom, with all the hard surfaces and chance of drowning its a death trap for people who get dizzy spells. Last year I found my Dad a different model, a simpler one that did not have an alarm, but was a suction balance support bar too, because he broke his foot and has a bad back. I knew if I sent one that had to be installed he would never get around to it, so the suction quick install was perfect. So that's two generations, I may need my own soon enough, lol.

I am so sorry to hear that you fell. All those hard surfaces, especially the charp corners of the counters, are so dangerous. I hope you heal fast, and that you find what you need that is right for you.
