Just upgraded from this model this morning. Great device for students. 5 ports (including ethernet portal). I dont believe a CD came with it, if however you need one, can download drivers from the internet.

I have this same router and yes you do need a cd for it but you can call the 1800 number and they can help you down load it I had to do that because my computer did not have a cd player this is an awesome router very reliable. Awesome auction will be bidding my next door neighbor needs one :)

I just want to be able to go anywhere in my apartment and use my laptop. I have a MacBook pro and it's just my computer that will be connected to the wifi... Would this be good?

Can you use this to route wireless signals? I broadcast via hotspot on android only and don't know if a router would. I need a router for my printer I guess.. haha

I am not sure if it works via hotspot. I do know if you have existing broadband or dsl connection for your internet, you connet your modem to this unit also, and it sends the internet signal wirelessly through out your home.

So if you have like me a blu ray player, printer, tv, computer, cable box, and sound unit. I have all feeding wirelessly through the router.... Enabling me to access all units via mobile unit (on the go away from home).

that depends on your server... this is not a prepaid internet server.

this is a wireless router. you take your existing broadband ethernet cord and plug into the back of this unit to have a wireless signal floating through your home. Enabling you to walk around freely in your home connected to the internet.

IE: wi-fi (this gives you a wi-fi signal in your home) or HotSpot, this is the same as Hotspot.

I have one,these connect fast! unlike the older routers..no flashing lights too..you should get alot of credits,w or w/o the disk,thats minor
