So it was 1993 (ebay was not even thought of yet, there was internet but not much was on it yet)........A friend from work invited me to go to a stamp show with him, it was hot august and i had no a/c at the time and thats probably what made me say "sure, i'll tag a long"...........i was not into stamps, had never really seen any foreign ones before except for a few from canada and as far as u.s. ones just what was out at the time...........i just followed my friend up to the first dealer table that he went to and he was talking with him about some certain sets and i was just looking at the dealers table in awwww, i had never seen anything like it before, most items were very expensive as most dealers use the actual scott books to guide them what to charge, they have to pay for those spots at those shows and they are not cheap............i spotted the above 4 stamps that were in glassine marked for $2.00 and bought them...........not knowing at the time what the set was even called the dealer had columbians on his table with selling prices in the hundreds and even some in the thousands of dollars so i felt i got a great deal..........We walked around for awhile looking at numerous dealer tables and their displays and i wanted to buy them all, they were all so neat to me.........so i tried to go to a stamp show every time i heard there was gonna be one from that day on, i would save up as much money as i could in between shows so i could blow it all on stamps haha......... i don't have an exact amount of course but a very accurate sum of $43,000 spent in the decades i collected.......... well i hope i didn't bore you guys with this........remember a thousand xnk's does not even cost a dollar, i'm gonna start the bidding at 1,000 so its less than half of what i paid........if somebody has a set of scott books and can look these up and leave me a note in the comments what they are listed for that would be awesome !!!!!!!!!
