Here is the interesting description and please view all photos for wear and tear as these are old covers some inspected by a US Army Censor Inspector plus take a look at the
1937 postmark on 3 cent Washington postal stationary w/special delivery stamp but the backside is what's most interesting with THREE different postmarks:
The RMS (Railroad Mail Service) duplex cancel. The postmark: CHI. & N. O. S. O. TR 3 ( Chicago & New Orleans Southern District Trip 3 ) with R. P. O (Railroad Post Office)
CHATT & N. O. S. D. TR 42 R. P. O
Columbus, MASS Rec'd postmark
Airmail envelope w/ 8 cent airmail, duplex cancel "8"
5 different Army Examined airmail covers as follows:
US Army Postal Service postmark, Passed by Army Examiner 13441 with Censor's initials.
Another, not sure if it was passed by 2 examiners, both round stamped and rectangular, with tape: OPENED BY ARMY EXAMINER, see photo of inside the envelope, nice airplane.
3rd & 4th US Army Postal Service BPO 1945
5th stamped in purple and was censored, hand written & initials.
Another different postmark, larger circle, APO on 6 cent postal stationary w/return address Lt. apo #321 58th Fighter
National Air Mail Week, 1938 cover "Air Mail Saves Time" cancel.
1942 duplex football ovate "6" cancel
USS Richard E. Kraus (EDD 849) postmark, missent to USS Campell, "The importance of the NAVY is increasing"
