I o not mind if it's a print or the original, its still the same to me. Very lovely. :) You are lucky to be so talented. I can't wait to start gathering more and more of these. Going to try to spend less credits on other stuff and more on ATC. I am glad to see so many listing them now. Yay! :D
A lot more than when i started Listia which wasnt that long ago.-- I found that a good book for instruction in drawing is called Drawing on the Right side of the brain... cant remember the author and borrowed it out and never got it back BUT i found that her techniques for drawing were much like mine and with her book it helped. One would be surprised at what they come up with when you draw in spaces and not as an apple is an apple but there is this space ( which is around the apple) and then the shadow is another space. You have to make your mind thing as one space relative to another and not look at the apple. That may not make sense but look for her book and you will be amazed at what u come up with. She wrote another but i never saw it.
Wicked nice. You do some amazing work. I will be watching as I search ATC every couple days and add the ones that are ending in 1-2 days to my watch list to stalk. I am collecting them for my children to have a nice album of different art from all over by all different people. I think they will enjoy going thru the book whe nI get it going. I only have about 10 ATCs right now, so I am definatly going to try to snag more - and yours are BEAUTIFUL. You are very, talented! I am sure they will go high. :)
thank you.... note: the ones up right now are PRINTS of ones i sold... they will be limited to 3 each. I will post more that i made in 2005 - 2007 . Oh hey i know about collecting. I have 4 albums of originals from ALL over the world and they are so neat. You know you can frame them and change them out when you want to. I think maybe my granddaughter will like them... my daughter is eh... ok lol
I think I already told you all that before - I have a 3 1/2 year old on my butt constantly and I am 7 months pregnant. Plus it's hot out. So .. I have no brains left. LOL!
Ugh.... not envious in the least. I have my just over 1 yo granddaughter downstairs that i can see any time... and she is a handful.... but having a 3 1/2 yo and being preggers in THIS heat.... Ugh i repeat UGH lol keep cool and calm
Try youir local library-many share with other libraries....I thought I would just suggest it as i know it was a great learning book for me. - I wish you could see my collection of ATC-- i have bought so many that it is a wonder i am not in the poor house. SO many talented artists out there and so many styles. Some I liked so much that i purchased multiple pieces from. Great way to have works of art especially whan one cant afford to buy full sized pieces --- let alone ROOM on the walls for full sized pieces. It is amazing how wonderful such small pieces can be. I will be posting more so take a look when you have time. Jo
No you aren't a dope -- I wondered at one time too LOL then i started making and selling them... They are miniature art... 2 1/2 x 31/2 inches or the size of a playing card. that is the standard. Fairly recent to the USA from Europe- artist trading cards - atc. were made by artists and traded but if you werent creative you never had the chance to obtain these.. soooo people started to sell them so those that couldnt get them now could. These are copies of some of my sold pieces... i am limiting them to 3 each. I do post originals also... many are collage style. BUT if i get my mind in the right frame i will begin to draw some new ones. I have a HUGE collection of these mini pieces of art from all over the world. They are incredible. You can frame them individually and put them in a group on the wall or you can frame many in one. It is a way for us to collect works of art without spending tons of money on one piece. AND not having enuf room on the walls if we could afford huge pieces. Artwork is done in all media- graphite, colored pencils, watercolor, oil, acrylic - even computer generated. So see-- yoiu arent a dope and neither was you question. :) have a nice weekend Jo
