The Crusader came to support Azrael in conducting a series of violent tests on Batman, Catwoman, and Red Robin. Now Azrael is holding Mayor Hady hostage and it's up to Red Robin to make the daring rescue.

Batman keeps Red Robin updated on the hostages whereabouts from his Batcave. When they argue over where Nightwing stands on the situation, Bruce notes, "I let Dick handle the new Azrael from the beginning. That was a mistake, because now I don't have enough intel." They soon discover an attack on Gotham involving a crashing Zeppelin and blazing fires all over the city.

As Azrael is about to kill the Mayor, Red Robin jumps over Gordon's head for the final confrontation.
