Two of Roberts's most enchanting novels, out of print for more than ten years, are available in this special volume that connects novels about Caleb and Jacob Hornblower, brothers who travel from the future and fall in love with present-day sisters, Liberty and Sunny Stone.
Time travelling brothers Caleb and Jacob Hornblower will once again return to the present on March 27, 2012 when Harlequin issues Time and Again, an omnibus reprint edition containing Nora Roberts’ Time Was (1989) and Times Change (1990). These two books comprise the Silhouette series, Time and Again.
Time Was (1989)
A meteor shower interrupts 23rd century pilot Caleb Hornblower’s trip home from Mars, forcing him into a black hole. His plane crashes in the Klamuth Mountains in Oregon where anthropologist Liberty (Libby) Stone is staying in her family’s cabin.
Witnessing the crash, Libby rushes to help rescue the passengers. She finds Caleb disheveled and disoriented. Caleb becomes even more confused when he learns he is now in the 20th century, but he is not at all perplexed by attraction he feels for Libby. How long, he wonders, can he keep his background a secret?
Times Change (1990)
Astrophysicist Jacob Hornblower has spent two years preparing to follow his brother Caleb to 20th century Earth. He successfully lands in at the Oregon cabin; but instead of his brother, he finds Sunbeam (Sunny) Stone, Libby’s sister, residing there.
The temperamental Sunny responds quickly to Jacob’s announcement that he is Caleb’s brother. Angry that Jacob did not attend Caleb and Libby’s wedding, she kicks him. Jacob knows Sunny will be even more irate when she learns his plans to take Caleb back with him when he leaves. He delays telling her this as their romance begins.
