Mo Vaughn was one of the premier sluggers of the 1990s, averaging 35 home runs per 162 games. He appeared in 3 All-Star games with the Red Sox and won the MVP in 1995. He hit 230 of his 328 career home runs with the Red Sox before playing stints with the Angels and Mets. These are Cy Young Winners, MVPs, guys with over 2000 hits, guys with 300+ homeruns, hometown heroes, you name it. Many of them deserved induction into the Hall, some stayed on the ballot for years, and came up just short.
