Hi, WOW, I was reading the description and though it might be an interesting read. Then I saw "demonic strongholds" and now, I am lost. I have NO idea what that means, but it sounds as though there may be an intolerance of people's right to practice their own spirituality and that I cannot abide in. There is no ONE correct/acceptable religion. I am glad I was born in the U.S. where we all free from persecution. Kate :)

No, that's not what it means at all. Demonic stronghold can mean anything in your life that you can't get control over, and that's it's so strong, you can't get over it, and you need Jesus to help you. Bascially.

It has NOTHING to do with intolerance, at all. Its like, my mom had anger issues. Extreme anger in ANYONE is NOT the norm. Not normal. They can't seem to get victory in that area of their life. They know it's wrong, but can't seem to stop with the rage! THAT'S a demonic stronghold in their life.

The rapist who can't stop raping women, that's a demonic stronghold, in their life.

Overeating until you gain 1500 pounds, that's an obession yet, but it's something you can't control, that's a demonic stronghold in your life and you need the kind of help that you can only get from God, thru the blood of Jesus, who died and rose again, for you. :)

Hi, Thank you for your explanation. It is about religion (or someone's idea of religion/spirituality), as you speak of Jesus, which is a Christian deity (the idea of GOD(s) is mostly universal, thus also religious/spiritual).
Most of the issues you've discussed can be treated w/therapy, behavior modification and/or medications. I am familiar w/several "Christian" denominations that do not believe when Native Americans die, they go to "heaven"...some of that carries on to other cultures (especially African, Chinese and Muslim). I do think there may be such a thing as "demonic" possessions, but not in this type of context. Many people are born with or acquire mental/emotional/chemical disorders and thus, are not demonically possessed. Thank you, Kate :)
