The reason for not to calling it “Quran in English” is because the actual Quran was revealed by God through Gabril in Arabic. No matter how hard you try, you will not find the exact same word for Arabic into English. Since Quran is for everybody and so there is no doubt in having the same understanding no matter what language you use, and though you get the same meaning in the translation of the Quran, but since it is not the actual Quran and so we call it Translation of the Quran in English or Urdu or whatever language it is and not Quran in English or Urdu. I hope you understand but if you have any question please let me know. The copy I have put on listia has the title “Translation of the meanings of the Quran”, though we usually say Translation of the Quran and not Translation of the meanings of the Quran but I think they wanted it to be even more clear that it is not actual Quran. If you want to study Quran, understand the laws and the concepts behind the lasws of the Quran etc, I ask you to visit this great Explanation of the meanings of the Quran by Abul A'la Maududi at this website: http://www.tafheem.net/main800.html
