Lightning Bolt is always a good, fast source of damage; a staple for burn decks, and Lava Axe is a slower and more powerful option for the same type of deck.

Tip: This card is great if you're working on a burn deck and you need something to hit them with on your first turn or you need a way to defend yourself from creatures that your opponent might play early on (Often times burn decks tend to be lacking in creatures, in which case it's important to have other ways to protect yourself from potential attackers, though there are many creatures that now exist that fit right in with the concept of a burn deck i.e. red Shaman creatures tend to be very helpful IMO)

LAVA AXE
Casting Cost: 4 colorless mana and 1 red mana
Type: Sorcery
Text: Lava Axe deals 5 damage to target player.
Tip: This deck could be well placed into a burn deck or other red deck as a way to deal a nice blow to your opponent later in the game (or a really nice blow early on if you include cards that can boost mana production). Kick off the game with some blasts from your Lightning Bolts and finish it off with some chops from your Lava Axes!
