I said it was old school because most mics come on a head set now! I do not think the recording is bad. But can not say for sure because I never used it. It was my Father's and he used it when skypeing.

No the recording is not bad!LOL What I meant by old school was that now they have head sets with mics on them! No one usually wants these types of mics any more! That's all I meant by old school! Thank you for your question!
