This is a Linksys wireless internet adapter, it's for a computer/laptop without internal network detection. It doesn't come with software, but at this point that's just bulk. I went to the website & downloaded the driver & installed there for free. Let me know if you have questions!

It detects & picks up wifi & if you have a wireless service then it will get you online.

It goes as fast as the service you're connected to! It's been spot on in both laptops I've used it in!
