Description

The listing, PSP 1001 "phat" with Pandora battery!!! has ended.

I am auctioning a PSP with a Pandora battery. Here is what I know about it. Please read all details before bidding. It is a PSP 1001 "phat". The motherboard model number is TA-082. It is running custom firmware version 5.00. That is right! It is hacked. It is ready to go for any custum software or game backup-ups that you may own. If the winner doesn't want a custom firmware, I can always put official firmware back on it for them. Either way, it plays games (disks and digital), UMDs, connects to the internet, etc. The screen brightness is set high, but everything is still viewable fine. The buttom seems to be stuck and I cannot adjust it. Maybe the next person will have more luck. Some minor wear and tear, but screen is in excellent condition. The battery is a pandora battery (I made myself) and works perfectly. If you do not know what a Pandora battery is, look it up...it is a key item in hacking PSP's and custom firmware. A lot of people fry thier batteries trying to make one or just order one online. I have made a few, so this is an extra. The system does not come with the chrger or a mem stick. This auction is intended for the tech savvy cats out there who know what this system is and what it is capable of. Happy bidding. Please message me with any other question you may have. I will try to answer them as best I can.

Anybody who is savvy enough with computers to read forums, acquire files, and transfer the files to the psp via usb could be the one for this psp, If you have any doubts, please don't bid. This psp will play UMD movies, game disks, and function just like a normal psp, but I have spent a couple of hoyrs trying to figure out the brightness issue and have not been successful. That is another reason I suggest this go to someone a little tech savvy...someone who has the time to read forums, figure out the issue (becasue most issues in our world have been experienced by someone else, posted online, and solved). Worst case scenario, some hardware modification may be required. So whoever wins this has to also be confident enough to open up the psp, get a new screen (or whatever else hardware may be required) off eBay ( complete systems can be purchased piece by piece.) and install it. I appologise if I seem like I am rambling, I just want to be as up front as possible so that whoever wins this auction knows exactly what theya re dealing with. God bless.

Chris 16 you'll probably want to leave this one alone unless you're really looking to deck out a PSP with custom apps, games etc. With this you could even install some emulators, which would be VERY cool.

DiRT could you clear up the issue with the buttons... is it ALL the buttons that stick or just one? When did that problem start and what do you know about getting it repaired?

The button sticking issue seems to be the one or more of the bottom right buttons on the psp ( the brightness, music symbol, select, start) buttons. The brightness is a culprit becasue I cannot adjust the brightness, and the select button is clprit becasue it does not function in text input. The start button works fine, and the music button seems to work fine. When I recieved this psp (which I work on quite a few) the psp had stickers and tae on it. I cleaned all the residue off, but there may be some residue stuck in the buttons. There is none visable, so it may require taking off the faceplate to get to it. With the amount of projects I have going on ( including modding psp"s) I can only devote so much time to each item that passes my desk. I hope this helps point the winner of this auction in the right path. I also hope that my details release on this item will inspire others who post "broken/non-functioning" items to be more honest and divulge more details about thier items other thatn posting them and saying, "They are broken and I don't want to tell you guys anything about it. Good luck, suckers." Lol God bless.

hah sk8r. lol

First line : ".....Please read all details before bidding....."

Looks pretty clear to me. So Dirt, do you have any suggestions on customizables for the PSP?

Its not my thing, my kids love the psp they have, I love my 360. So I don't know what would be good for it. Ya know?

I could see this one being good for you guyd. You may have to be the one to load games on it, perform maintainance, etc depending on your kids age and ability with computers. God bless.

They are great. But they do require work to fully appreciate thier greatness. Thank you for looking, and hopefully bidding. I could have easily placed this on craigslist for a quick bone a usual, but Listia has been good to me and I wanted to give a little back. God bless.

Haha, this is far too tech savvy for moi, but still a great auction. A friend of mine is looking for a hacked psp, so I will tell her about this. I love your auctions, all the games I have received from you are awesome.

Thank you. I know most of my auctions are a bulk of MCR points (bad soda addiction, LOL ), but I am pleased to know tha there are people out there that enjoy the other ones (games, electronics, wireless adapters, etc.) Please feel free to fan me. I never know what I will throw on here. I love Listia. God bless.

Quick question about the Pandora battery... I understand what it's used for, but I don't know if it can also be used like a regular battery. Will I need to obtain an unmodified battery to use this?

The pandora battery can be used as a normal battery. There are multiple youtube videos/websites that explain how to charge it. Just plug your psp in without the battery, then insert the battery. The charge light changes from green to orange and the batery charges. It takes 2 hours max for the battery to have a ful charge. I really don't want to get into a long post about pandora batteries, but to simply answer your question...yes...the pandora battery can also function as a normal battery. I hope this helps. God bless.
