This is a copy of the Confederate 50 cent note reprinted on parchment paper for the 1960's Civil War Centennial events. This reproduction of the only fractional note (worth less than a dollar) by the Confederate States of America. The bill was issued in 1864 and was in note form due to shortage of metal to produce coins. The bill makes a great gift for the history teacher, historian, Civil War buff, student and others interested in history.
