I think you could get some traction on this with free shipping. It's really easy, use a sturdy manilla envelope (cut it in half maybe), put a few styro peanuts in the package so it doesn't get tossed in a mailing machine during transit, tape up all the edges and put three stamps on it.

With Listia, it's kind of hard to sell small items without free shipping. I know it sounds crazy, but you'll get lots more bids and it will come back to you when you win nice items and/or free shipped items. Also, you might want to add more of a description ... the length of the chain (I always add a photo with the item next to a ruler), and if the stones or beads on it are plastic, glass, etc. The more info the better.

Check out my auctions to see what I mean ... I buy a box of 100 6x9 envelopes and for most of my stuff I can cut them in half, so I get 200 mailers out of it. I also buy the wide boxing tape and tape all the edges so it can't be sliced open and stolen (sadly, seems to be happening a lot more lately). Then just put three stamps on it (you'll need five stamps for anything over 8 ounces, and over 13 ounces you have to ship Priority). Then, leave it in your mailbox with the flag up, you don't even have to make a trip to the post office!

Hope this helps if you are interested in continuing with Listia. It's really fun and I've won some GREAT stuff, worth far more than the postage I've spent money on. Takes a little while to get your system down, but then it gets faster and easier.
