Description

The listing, Antique 985 Silver Brooch/Pendant! Exquisite! Marked! has ended.

Marked 985. Not really sure what the other markings are.
Because of the style of the piece and the look of the marks, I think this is an antique piece from a foreign country.

I'm not positive, but I think this is from Holland. This style of decoration was used almost exclusively on the military uniforms of Dutch soldiers at the second world war. We've just been to a small fishing village in Holland named Veere, where I had bought earrings in this style in past years, only because they are exclusive to this region of that country. Later, when hubby wakes from his nap, I'll post what they are called. Maybe you can 'google' it and find out more.

LHT, I thanked him for you. I once bought a pair of sterling silver earrings, in Veere, in this style. They are very unique. Where did you get this one?
