I'm used to the Acton scanners we had at Awful Zone. (sorry disgruntled ex- employee). They would show they code in the led window, we would then have to write it down, then go inside and type the code number into the company computer to see what the proplem is. I don't see an led window. Does this unit store the codes until you can tie into your computer or do you have to have a laptop in the front seat with you to use it.
I could use this on my kids newer vehicles. Mine are all older and have the ODB 1 systems. I'm still pretty good at counting flashing lights on the dashboard. The old Volvo has it's own system under the hood. Oh by the way, many people still don't know that this is only good when the check engine light is on, showing a possible problem in the emissions system or the transmission. It does't take the place of training or experience. I've seen way too many pay hundreds of dollars on parts not needed relying on OBD info, when often it was something totaly unrelated and much cheaper.
