The Charge cable is identical to the ipod nano
U definetly are not the only one who thinks U have to pay 200 bucks for the name on an MP3. They all work the same basically and some even have better features. For example many folks swear by the zune.

Yes it does to your first question.
You can always figure "ABOUT" 500 songs per 2GIG but it always depends on your format and of course the length of your songs
