Description

The listing, Topps Chrome JUSTIN VERLANDER Rookie Card (Tigers) has ended.

What can I say about justin Verlander that he hasn't said by himself from the mound?
He won Rookie of the Year with the Detroit Tigers in 2006, and has been in the Cy Young voting all but one year that he has been in the bigs. In 2011, he won the Cy Young as best pitcher in the league, and topped it off by winning league MVP, as well ... a rare feat for a pitcher.
Oh, and he's pitched a couple of no hitters. No biggie, right?

Happy bidding, and good luck!

Good luck, n1ntndo. I still remember when JV came up, and it looked like the Tigers were going to have the best 1-2 punch in baseball with him and Bonderman. Well, they still have the 1 punch, lol.

He is definitely a beast! He needs help though.Zumaya retired and the rest of the rotation is struggling.Reminds me of Jordan in his early years. No help.If Verlander were on the Yankees (and God forbid that happens) he would have a ring already!

I'm so biased about Jordan, because his shooting percentage from the floor was so crappy for the 1st 3 quarters of the game, and only bolstered by his awesome 4th quarter numbers. Pippen was the direct opposite; great % for quarter's 1-3, crappy in the 4th ... but I always preferred Pippen over Jordan. No insult to MJ ... I'd take him any day on a team, and let him be 6th man until the 4th, lol. Best CLUTCH performer in history, and carried a team on his back for years, but not the greatest like some make him out to be IMO. The greatest probably was The Stilt, and the greatest in the modern game falls somewhere between The Mailman and The Rapist.
