LOL! I really think the hinge is just like the others we have, but my husband collects these and that's what he said and I keep opening and closing the lid and it feels like the new ones to me...sigh

The loose hinge is no big deal...it can be sent back to the Zippo factory and repaired for only the cost of postage there. Very nice lighter; I'm watching.

I sent a Zippo off for repair a year or two ago and got it back within two weeks. They tend to be busy toward the end of the year.
