I don't know if it does or not. We only had the original that we bought 8 years ago and it still works now, but the pointer got lost and my son got a Innotab for Christmas.

"All Leapster games work with all Leapster systems."

ALL Leapster games can be played on ANY Leapster system. They may lose some functionality (ie. the L-Max games that have TV content can only be fully utilized with the TV connection of the L-Max, and the Leapster2 games with Learning Path functionality will only access the Learning Path with the L2 - but IME, they do NOT restrict playability).
