Description

The listing, Vintage Chief Master Sergeant of U.S.A.F Keyring has ended.

This belonged to my Grandfather. He was an E9 enlisted Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force. He won 4 Purple Hearts, 2 of those was for being a P.O.W in Korea for 2 years 8 months and 13 days. He was shot down over enemy territory and captured. (He was shot down twice, but captured once). He was a lucky man. The bravest, strongest man I know. I'm sorry, back to the auction. This belonged to him. It has an American Flag on the front and a medal on the back that says, "Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America." If you collect military memorabilia this is a nice piece. Or if you want to show your respect to the MANY, MANY soldiers that died for our freedom this would be an awesome key chain to show it off. Thank you for looking. If you have ANY questions please feel free to ask.

Thank you for the bids. God Bless! I have lots of stuff that was my grandfathers but I can't part with much. He even left me all his ribbons, medals (like for POW and service in Korea), He actually served in WWII, Korea and some in Vietnam. He was so decorated. Thank you again everyone.

I want to thank everyone for their bids and kind words. My grandpa was a GREAT man. He always gave me advice. The one that stuck with me the most was "Always watch out for your ass" Sorry but thats how he said it. Also, always be independent and don't rely on a man to get me through life cuz after their gone what will I do then. That was just a couple of things he used to tell me. I'll always remember him as being the strongest, bravest, smartest man (besides my dad) I have ever known.

My grandfather was in the Navy, as was my father and my 2 uncles. I am proud to say my son is serving in the USAF currently stationed in England, heading off to Africa in August. This is for him. God Bless your Grandfather for how he bravely fought for our country, ultimately giving us our freedom today.

First of I want to thanks all of ur family for what they have done personally for me and everyone else. A lot take for granted the ultimate sacrifice soldiers make for us, not them, they do it for us their country. I am so proud of my grandfather and all his accomplishments. Tell ur son my grandpa was an e9 enlisted chief master sargent. I think he will be impressed. I may go through some of my grandfathers things and post them. I don't want to sound ungrateful but I have an entire storage unit with his things in it. Certain things of his I will take to the grave with me. Other things may mean more to someone else ya know. Good luck with everything and u come from a great family as do I. I have generations of service men in my immediate family. To you sir take care
And good luck

You do NOT sound ungrateful, you are merely sharing and passing your family's legacy on to anothers. Soldiers are soldiers in brotherhood, whether they are 18 or 80. Your grandfather is looking down now, smiling, that a 25 year old brother airmen will be protecting his family, with his prized key chain back at the barracks. God
Bless you. I will be looking for USAF legacies to pass on to my Airman, Sgt. M P-L Brinks, USAF.

God bless you sir. You sounded like my grandfather :) I love having his stuff from the wars but there is so much. I will never part with his purple heart or pow medal, ALOT of the medals I couldn't get rid of and his ribbons. I even have letters and postcards from where he would write his dad, those are so interesting. I do think it's ok to let another serviceman have something of my grandpas. It would give
them something to remind them of a very dedicated soldier who lived his life to protect his country. Good luck to you and yours. If u win this auction or whoever wins this auction I will include o copy of a pic of my grandfather and I will write you a little bit about my wonderful grandpa. I later found out that only one percent of servicemen are E9 and those represent when speaking to the president or leaders. Pretty awesome that was my grandpa Pete.
