The listing, 22' Acer Monitor - plz read has ended.

This monitor is about 2 yrs old and when I turn it on it shows windows clearly but goes black after a few minutes. I have been told it is something to do with capacitators?? It is a good deal for someone looking for a free monitor. The problem only started about 4 mos. ago. Apparently it is not hard to fix but I am electronically challenged. Shipping is by pay pal and I am charging a flat rate so what ever it costs over that I will cover. Thanks for looking.

I'm interested would you try changing the power cord The one on the back of a tower usually fits.?

if you are good at it, sometimes on the small bulbs the 1 wire come loose and that makes the whole monitor go blank, solder them back up if u r good at it.

Yes, I did. It does stay on longer with this cord, but I'm not sure if that is the problem. I'm not a technical person. It may work great for someone who knows what they are doing.
