These are used and do show signs of normal wear. However, there is a lot of life left in the leather uppers and on the bottoms. They have a mid height heal of about 2 1/2 inches but it is about 1/2 inch in the front. I wear a 9 1/2 wide and these fit me okay, so if you have a narrow foot, these are probably not for you. They are actually a 10 medium width. Very comfy!! And the thread detail decorates the top with a lighter shade of rust color. They are dark brown and are not different shades though the pics are lighted and look like they are different shades. They also look almost black in the pics, but they do not look black in person. These are cute but I don't wear them anymore and they are in decent shape so they can go up for auction!
