This auction is for the 2015 Niue Jefferson Memorial 1 oz Silver Proof $2 NGC PF70 ULTRA CAMEO Early Releases.

This coin commemorates the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, which is located in Washington D.C. Jefferson is remembered as one of the most important Found Fathers, as he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Not only did Jefferson pen the Declaration of Independence, he also held many important positions of service to the United States, such as the Governor of Virginia, American Minister to King Louis XVI, the first U.S. Secretary of State, Vice President under President John Adams, and President of the United States from 1801-1809.

This coin was the Third of a set of 4 coins in the America’s National Monuments series. While this silver Jefferson Memorial coin was issued for the country of Niue, it was actually minted by PAMP Suisse. This design had a mintage limit of 5,000 coins.

This coin contains 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver and since it was struck by PAMP Suisse, you can be sure of the weight and purity of this coin.
