This book also includes Dinesen's "Shadows on the Grass," first copyrighted in 1960.

At the age of 21 7, Isak Dineson left Denmark and sailed for East Africa to marry her Swedish cousin Baron Bror Blixen. From 1914 to 1931 she managed the plantation, even after she and her husband seperated."

This book is an account of those years.
A review by The New York Times called her "A writer with a powerful imagination and a shrewd intelligence."

This used novel is in pretty decent shape for an older book. All pages intact. It was obviously cared for well by its original owner.
