The listing, UNIQUE AND UNUSUAL AMBER CAB WITH ROSE CARVED INSIDE has ended.

I'm sorry, I cannot remember the exact name for the technique used on this, but is really amazing! The artist drills a very small hole on the back side of the cab, and through that hole he is able to carve this delicate and really sweet rose inside the Amber. It is really amazing when you consider the size of this stone. You can see the size compared with a dime, as well as the size of the hole through which all of the carving is done. If you like delicate jewelry, if you like jewelry that is one of a kind, if you like delicate, one of a kind, surrounded by a beautiful silver bezel, then this is the pendant for you. If I can come up with the technical name for this type of intricate work before the auction is over, I will be sure to put the answer on here. Oh, and picture #4 is a view with a light behind the pendant....absolutely gorgeous!!! The winner of this pendant will be a very happy camper....and guys, if you are getting it for your girlfriend or wife...whew...will you be in her good graces!!! :) Good luck....whomever gets this will have a real beauty.

Is this sterling silver? Is it marked?

I think there is something stamped inside the bale but I cannot make out what it is. For what I paid for this piece is should be sterling silver, but I cannot guarantee it since I cannot make out what is inside the bale. I do know that it needs polishing every once in awhile but that is all I can absolutely attest to. I'm sorry I can't give you a definitive answer, but I can say there is no marking on the outside of the piece and I have gone cross eyed trying to see inside the bale!!!
