The ornament is clear with lots of gold sparkles!

But I was wondering if the Ornament is plastic or glass?

And if it is plastic, is it a pretty hard type of PVC plastic? Or does it press in pretty easily if you try with your finger, for lack of better words? Haha!

Yes it is a hard plastic. It snaps together similar to a plastic Easter egg but a tighter snap.
