2 thejumper - yes it works quite well - I used it for a couple of months while I was member of stamps*com but I got a bigger scale from someone else and now I just use my new scale (which weighs up to 56 lbs) and usps website to do all my labels and calculate shipping costs. You have to have a membership with stamps*com to use and they have a very low cost monthly plan for $10 a month for their service. (or that was the lowest rate up until I quit the servide which was about 3 months ago) But with the larger scale I no longer need to use stamps*com. Thanks for checking out my auctions and good luck if you bid. ;)

2 Beth259 - no - you would need to join up with stamps*com - the least expensive membership with them is $10 a month. Otherwise you cannot read the scale. As stated in description. I got larger regular digital scale and no longer needed to belong to stamps*com so that's why I am offering it here. Thanks for checking out my auctions and I hope you find something you like. ;)

Am I understanding this correctly, I have never seen one of these before. so from what I understand I can weigh my own things that I want to ship? All Ihave to do is get a membership through who? I know you mentioned that the cheapest membership is $10.00. Is the weight limit just 5 pds? Thanxs for your time.

2 devinmorse - yes you would have to sign up with stamps*com to use this scale and it weighs up to 5 lb. The least expensive membership with them is $10 a month and it calculates cost of shipping and allows you to keep an address book and print labels on plain paper if you wish or you can purchase their labels. That's a waste of money though since plain paper works just as well. Thanks for checking out my auctions and I hope you find something you like. :)

2 melissacraft - stamps.com has same services as usps.com except it costs for least expensive membership ($10.00) whereas usps.com doesn't cost anything but you need your own scale in order to calculate shipping costs. Hope this helps and I hope you find something you like. Thanks for checking out my auctions. ;)
