The listing, External DVD burner has ended.

External TDK DVD burner, model DED+440, with power supply. You can connect this drive via either USB or Firewire. Also has external audio outputs, so you can use it as a CD/DVD player.

You could always remove the CDR and use it as an external drive enclosure.

Goes for around $40 used currently but willing to let you have it for free! (with Listia credits of course)

Re-listing since a previous buyer wasn't able to pick it up. Will ship this time, FOR FREE.

Absolutely! It's both a reader and writer (aka: burner).

One can also remove the drive from the case and use the case for something else, since it has BOTH a USB 2.0 as well as a Firewire port.

What size HDD would fit in this, 2.5 or 3.5 ?

Either size can fit in there. The disc drive that's in there now is a 5.25" one, so all you'd need is a bracket for use with either a 2.5" or 3.5." Those brackets normally come with those smaller drives for fitting into a 5.25" drive bay.

Does all the cords come with it? I just got one off of Lisitia and I am having alot of problems from the person who list it. I paid for the shipping and some of the power cords was not sent, so I just got a DVD Box :(

Yes, it comes with the power supply cord and power supply, just like it's shown in the above pictures, but it does NOT come with a USB or Firewire cord. Those are pretty cheap at any computer store or Radio Shack even.

So from where does one burn to the dvd from?
Netflix?
From another dvd?
Etc???
