How do you know it is the 40% silver version? The Gem Proof is clad and the choice BU one is 40% silver.

since the San Francisco mint does produce both the clad and the 40% Silver coins, it is a little tougher to know the difference. I just weigh the coin and if it is 5.67 grams then it is the clad version. This coin weighs 5.75 grams which means that it is the Silver coin.
