Sorry for the delay in answering! I didn't hit the right "reply" button at first, so excuse my repetition if you've already read my first reply. I've looked everywhere on the box and the set, and it doesn't say if it's microwave or dishwasher safe, or lead free. Here is exactly what it says on the bottom of the cup. "Funseekers Item No. 6448 Big Day at the Beach copyright 2004 Janice Joplin Made in China Westland Giftware. Janice Joplin is a San Antonio artist, I found her web site at www.janicejoplinartist.com.
