A 3-cent stamp commemorating Atoms for Peace was issued on July 28, 1955, in Washington DC.
The stamp, designed by George R. Cox, is composed of two spheres showing each side of the atlas encircled with the orbital emblem that has become symbolic of atomic energy.
The stamps have never been used and are in a protective sleeve.
