This camera takes 3 AAA batteries to operate. There is a spot to put an SD Card but I do not have it- you'd have to use your own SD Card for this camera. There is a USB Port With Cord. This camera came with a CD with programs to help you install pics on your computer. I do not have this- I believe you can just use the program you have installed on your computer. I am so sorry this was not stated earlier- I didn't think about these things until I read the instructions again!-Renee
