Fennel essential oil has an anise-like, sweet and floral aroma. The herb is often used in cooking and the flavor of its feathery leaves or edible root is prized in salads. Greek physicians, Hippocrates and Dioscorides recommended fennel for its health supporting attributes. To add a sprightly feeling to the air during yoga or mediation sessions or general workouts, try diffusing Fennel.

Native to Europe and Asia, Fennel grows up to 7 feet in height and produces feathery leaves and petite yellow flowers. Fennel essential oil is extracted from the plant’s seed through steam distillation.
