The British Solomon Islands were the center of much action in WWII included in the island was Guadacanal and British Solomon Islanders were greatly responsible for rescuing John F. Kennedy and the crew of the PT109. This was also the islands that Papy Boyington and his Black Sheep Squadrom flew out of.
