The listing, Reprint Old Pattern Books Choose One has ended.

ICHARGE SHIPPING. These are NEWLY reprinted pattern books not some worn out torn copy. The originals of these were from about 1918 to 1936. Those days teen age girls made these things for their HOPE chests. Can you imagine sitting there for years and knitting and crocheting a whole box full? I love the dragon in filet crochet. You can use just parts of these patterns to make modern things. You don't really need corset covers but the small medallions would be great on handkerchiefs. Or the third book Learn How to do Crocheting, knitting, tatting, hairpin lace, and embroidery. The fourth is a reprint of Needlecraft Magazine for 1922. The fifth is Alphabets 8 for crocheting and one for tatting.no date. Choose ONE OF THESE. If you want another just add $3 each to the shipping charge. Please tell me which one (s) you want. The number of pages in each is 15, 15, 32, 28 & 15. order.

Lol! I think I will be the same way! Actually, I would love to convert this pattern into a crocheted lace design for my embroidery machine. I couldn't even begin to think of crocheting it! I am a super beginner at that!

I made a filet crochet of the Statue of Liberty which is almost as bif as I am. That took a couple monthe. Does the embroider machine use regular 6 ply embroidery thread? I bought some thinking it was sewing thread. When I looked closer I saw it was 6 ply. I have about 20 cones of it. I would never use that much for hand embroidery and I have not plans to buy an embroidery machine.

Oh Wow! What brand and type is it? It may be mostly for hand embroidery. I normally us 40 or 50 weight, or cotton quilting thread for my lace creations. I would love to see a picture of this to see if it is something I can use. Thanks for the reply! Maybe I should post one of my creations so you can see it. Even with the machine, the process to complete is time consuming but 2 hours compared to days weeks or months is the difference. Both look great but I like the quick fix for me. No patience here.

The labels say Mouline Cotton Brilliant 100 g. They are not all full but some of them must be close to full cones. I thought it was sewing machine thread. I may use it for novelty crocheting.

It can probably be used on sewing machines. Applique edges, and I think it would be fantastic for novelty crochet. The only issue I can see with a 6 ply thread is that it will want to unravel in a sewing machine. The thread will work great in the bobbin for other types of decorative sewing. This is cool, one of these days I will have all kinds of thread to play with. What else do you love to do?
