This Stuff is Free Too:
Description

The listing, Sony A/V Receiver (STR-DE575) has ended.

This auction is for a Sony A/V receiver unit and its corresponding remote. The exact model is STR-DE575. It was purchased new at the very end of 2001. The unit still works great; the original owners have simply upgraded their setup.

I have photographed the back of the unit but Listia's pictures are a bit small. So here are some notes about the various sockets in the back:

* Digital input: 2 optical (S/PDIF), 1 coaxial
* Antenna input for radio tuning
* Many composite inputs for various devices
* S-video input
* S-video and composite outputs
* Speakers are connected via bare wire (except for subwoofer which is composite)

Free shipping! Happy bidding!

Do you have the speakers? How many watts is it? I have the high bid and I could really use this. Thank you.

Nope, you're on your own for the speakers. Speakers did not come with this unit.

In its previous service, this receiver was only putting sound out to 2 speakers (not a full 5.1 setup). The 2 speakers were very old, very large, and very heavy. They also went to an electronics recycling event a few weeks ago.

Just wondering. I do have a five speaker setup to put with it if I win. How many watts is the reciever? Thank you.

Look a few comments back. I posted a link to the full PDF manual, still available on Sony's site (sure is nice of them to have this archive).

Yes I did check that out but it's to small to read without printing it out.

Really? Which PDF reader are you using? You should be able to magnify.

Anyway, page 46 lists the specifications. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for concerning wattage but these passages might be relevant:

"POWER OUTPUT AND TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION: With 8 ohm loads, both channels driven, from 20-20,000 Hz; rated 100 watts per channel minimum RMS power, with no more than 0.09% total harmonic distortion from 250 milliwatts to rated output (USA model only)."

Is that what you wanted to know? There's also a section about reference power output where front, center, and surround channels are listed as 100 W/ch.
