No, these books are not new. They are, in fact, very old from when I was a little girl. They've weathered a storm, and it's most obvious by the spines of the books. The ones that are tearing at the bottom include: Terrier in the Tinsel ( this is the worst of them because it was my favorite. The spine has detached itself. see picture ), Kitten in the Cold, and Beagle in a Backpack.
The rest are not in perfect condition, but are still readable.
