" Pudge " Fisk as he was known hit 376 homers with 1,330 runs batted in during his illustrious career. Fisk will always be fondly remembered in the annals of baseball for his "waving fair" game winning home run in the 12th inning of game six of the 1975 World Series.
He was an 11 time All Star. American League Rookie of the Year in 1972. Gold glove award 1972. Three time silver slugger award winner. Boston Red Sox #27 retired. Chicago White Sox #72 retired. Inducted to Baseball's Hall of Fame in 2000. He was the first person to unanimously be voted American League rookie of the year. Fisk holds the American League record for the most years served behind home plate (24).

Personal note: I was outside of the Seattle King Dome waiting by Fisk's limo to get a ball signed. He was obliging many eager fans. Unfortunately, the crowd started pushing and shoving to get near him, nearly knocking him on the ground. He threw his hands up in the air, and said " I was happy to keep signing until you guys crowded me out, goodnight folks " Sadly, I didn't get my ball signed. I assure you I wasn't pushing to get in.
