This is a 2002 film starring Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd their first time since 1997's Kiss the Girls. In this intriguing thriller, Claire (Judd) and her husband Tom (James Caviezel) are shocked when Tom is convicted of the murders of nine peasants. She learns his real name is Ron Chapman. In the end, it is revealed that Tom killed one of the witnesses in front of his family. The widow remembered Tom was ambidextrous (can use both hands) thus connecting him to the crimes. As Tom is about to kill his wife for finding out, a witness shoots Tom dead. In this film Claire Hires Charlie Grimes (Freeman), a smoking, retired military attorney to defend her husband. Afterwards, they start a law firm together. Charlie is the one who told Claire Tom was guilty.
