We have a "regular" hands free dispenser that is a pain 'cuz the batteries are always dying just after it's full of soap. And of course, battery compartment in on the bottom, so it's a challenge to change batteries. I'm assuming this one, the battery compartment is on the bottom too?? So, my ?, is, can you remove the soap easily to change batteries, or once soap is in, you gotta leave it 'til it's gone? (Hope that make at least a little sense!). :)

Yes the battery compartment is on the bottom. The bottles just snap in so I think it would be easy to take them out to change the batteries. I bought 2 and just started using mine so haven't had to change the batteries yet. I read a lot of the review before purchasing and never saw that as an issue. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Can you tell if the purple soap insert is scented or not? I did not see a scent on it in the picture. I wanted to ask because I read some reviews on Amazon that said the soap is heavily scented and sometimes the scent can linger for several hours after the dispenser is used.

I don't think it is heavily scented. It is for sensitive skin and the only ingredient that would have a scent in the ingredients is listed as Citric Acid and Fragrance. I'll do some more research though.

I actually don't mind if it is heavily scented as long as it's a scent that I like. But as you said that the purple container is not scented I guess it's a moot point. And actually you answered another question I had about this soap dispenser. I was wondering if there was an unscented soap that I could use with it. So thanks for answering that question too!
