It will start flowering mid summer.....I start mine inside (as soon as possible, since it won't be too long til last frost of spring) Start it in peat pots or newspaper pots (google it) and that way, you can put it straight in the ground or in a pot without it being disturbed and you should have blooms just soon after planting outside.....they love the sun, but this plant can get "out of hand"......you have to keep it trimmed back or it can get very invasive.....
